Graphene super capacitor charging only 4 minutes electric car short board crack?

September 10, 2023

According to the British "International Financial Times" news, a South Korean scientist discovered a new super capacitor, which can effectively solve the bottleneck of the current electric car battery life mileage.

Most current electric cars are lithium batteries, lithium batteries, however, have many limitations. One is the higher prices, and secondly the amount of electricity stored in the battery can not meet the needs of users, you need to recharge often. Furthermore, the charging process is slow and requires a lot of time.

Therefore, this new technology developed by Dr. Lu of Gwangju Science and Technology Institute in South Korea can be described as the gospel of many electric car owners. Strictly speaking, this new technology uses a supercapacitor instead of a battery, however the common function of both is to store power.

In theory, graphene supercapacitors can store more electricity than lithium batteries. Dr. Lu successfully made enough graphene into a supercapacitor capable of storing the same amount of power as a lithium battery and compressing the charge down to less than four minutes.

This technology is likely to make the future of ultra-capacitor lithium battery replacement, and the next stage of the technology is mass production and commercial use.
