According to the statistics of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, from 2010 to 2016, the number of new energy vehicle production and sales in China has developed by leaps and bounds. In 2014, the production of new energy vehicles was 78,500 units, with sales of 74,800 units. In 2015, the output of new energy vehicles reached 340,500 units, with sales of 331,100 units. VELITE 5 is the first joint venture brand domestically produced extended-range hybrid vehicle, marking the further acceleration of the new energy strategy of Buick Blue.
